XF050
The XF050, part of Applied Thermal Control’s XF-Series of water-to-water heat exchangers, offers 50kW of cooling, and is housed in a specially designed enclosure that accommodates large centrifugal pumps. This model is particularly effective for cooling multiple systems that need to be isolated from the primary cooling circuit. An example of such an application is the cooling of laser systems using deionised water, separate from a primary glycol circuit. Additionally, the XF050’s capacity and design make it a suitable option for server and data centre cooling, where reliable and efficient heat management is critical.
In terms of customisation, the XF050 offers a range of options to enhance its functionality according to specific requirements. These include a high temperature pack capable of reaching up to +75°C and non-return solenoid valves for controlled fluid flow. The unit can be configured for high-temperature water circuits, without the use of a heater. Safety features like a low flow alarm and onboard RS485 data protocol ensure effective system communication and monitoring. The XF050 also is also compatible with a standard VFC set, in-line deionising cartridge with fittings, CPC quick release connectors, and a comprehensive installation kit. Additionally, it can be equipped with a flow meter pack with RS485 output, seismic mounts, in-line UV decontamination, and a Qwikfoot kit.
The XF050 can also be housed in a stainless-steel enclosure for enhanced durability and the option for de-branding offers a more neutral appearance. It can accommodate 2- to 10-way external manifolds for flexible fluid distribution, and features like remote stop-start functionality, an auto-refill system, and various fluid adapters increase its adaptability. For enhanced control and monitoring, the XF050 can be fitted with an inverter-driven pump, a pressure sensor (with an option to connect to RS485) and a conductivity sensor (also available with RS485 connectivity.
