Lab Innovations 2025

Applied Thermal Control are excited to confirm our attendance at Lab Innovations 2025, one of the UK’s premier laboratory trade shows, held at the NEC, Birmingham on 29th and 30th October. Following our successful participation last year, we will once again be part of the SDI Group stand (L70), joining forces with sister companies to present a complete laboratory ecosystem.

Last year, ATC exhibited alongside Fraser Anti-Static Techniques, LTE Scientific, Monmouth Scientific, Safelab Systems, and Synoptics under the SDI Group banner. This collective presence allowed us to showcase a broad range of complementary technologies, highlighting how laboratory solutions from across the Group can work together to support safer, more efficient, and more sustainable environments.

In 2025, we are building on that collaboration by placing an even stronger focus on sustainability and regulatory compliance.

ATC’s Showcase: Green Cooling, Precise Performance

At Lab Innovations 2025, ATC will present two of our newest ranges, build with low global warming potential refrigerants:

The G-Series: Compact units using natural refrigerant R290, chosen for its minimal environmental impact without compromising on performance. Ideal for benchtop and smaller footprint applications where space and energy efficiency are paramount.

The H-Series: Higher-capacity chillers built for more demanding processes. R454C provides reduced GWP compared to traditional HFCs, enabling labs to meet tightening environmental regulations while retaining high cooling performance.

Beyond just hardware, ATC brings decades of experience in precision temperature control, reliability, and service. We understand that lab cooling isn’t just about hitting temperature specs – it’s about stability, uptime, safety, and integrating with the rest of the laboratory’s systems. Our support network, calibration and maintenance offerings, and customer-driven design all feed into giving our users not only equipment but confidence.

Meet Our Sister Companies: More Than Just Roommates at Stand L70

The strength of the SDI Group stand lies in the diversity and depth of its component companies. Each brings a speciality; together, they cover a broad range of essential laboratory needs. Scroll through to meet our sister companies.

LTE Scientific

LTE Scientific specialises in sterilisation and thermal processing equipment. Their product range covers autoclaves, steam sterilisers, laboratory ovens, incubators, washer disinfectors, and environmental chambers, supporting laboratories where precise control and hygiene are essential.

They work across sectors including research, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, food production, and education. With UK-based manufacturing and a strong service network, LTE emphasises quality, reliability, and efficiency to mee the long-term needs of laboratory users.

Monmouth Scientific

Monmouth Scientific specialises in clean air and containment solutions. From modular cleanrooms to laminar flow enclosures, biological safety cabinets, powder containment, clean air enclosures, and chemical storage, their portfolio supports environments requiring strict control of particulate, biohazards, or volatile chemicals.

They service sectors as varied as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, industrial, education, and aerospace. Their product line includes recirculating fume cupboards (which don’t require external ducting), downflow booths, and laboratory isolators, with a strong focus on filtration, safety, and modularity.

Safelab Systems

Safelab Systems are specialists in fume cupboards, laminar flow cabinets, Class II cabinets, forensic and chemical storage, and related containment equipment.

Safelab Systems has been designing and manufacturing high-quality fume cupboards in the UK for over 40 years. Their range includes both ducted and ductless solutions, supporting laboratories in education, research, and industry. Safelab are recognised for reliable performance, practical design, and a commitment to safety, backed by comprehensive service and support.

Synoptics

Synoptics provides advanced imaging and analysis solutions for life sciences, microbiology, and molecular biology. Their divisions include Syngene for gel and blot imaging, Synbiosis for automated colony counting and zone analysis, Fistreem for water purification, and Gallenkamp for vacuum ovens and general laboratory equipment.

Their technologies are used in laboratories worldwide to support applications from molecular diagnostics to environmental testing. By combining optics, software, and hardware, Synoptics delivers systems that improve accuracy, efficiency, and reproducibility in research and quality control.

Why The Lab Ecosystem Matters

What makes the SDI Group stand unique is the way in which our technologies complement one another. By bringing together expertise in containment, sterilisation, cooling, and imaging, we offer visitors a clear picture of how different aspects of the laboratory environment connect. This approach highlights how safety, sustainability, and efficiency can be achieved when equipment is considered as part of a wider ecosystem rather than in isolation.

Visit Us at Lab Innovations 2025

We look forward to welcoming visitors to Stand L70 at Lab Innovations 2025. The event is a change to see our equipment, explore how our solutions fit into the wider laboratory ecosystem, and speak directly with our team about the challenges and opportunities facing today’s laboratories. Whether you’re planning a new facility, upgrading existing equipment, or exploring sustainable technologies, we’ll be on hand to share expertise and support.
