XR15
The XR15, as a part of the XR-Series, is specifically engineered to be mounted within standard 19” electrical rack systems. This design approach focuses on minimising the overall system footprint by effectively utilising space that would otherwise be wasted within rack enclosures. The XR15 stands out for its ability to provide 15kW of cooling, functioning efficiently at a temperature that is 10°C above the primary water circuit. This level of cooling capacity, combined with its space-efficient installation, makes the XR15 an ideal solution for settings such as data centres, telecommunications facilities, and laboratory environments, where space optimisation and efficient cooling are critical.
In operational terms, the XR15 is adept at utilising the flow rate between the primary water circuit and the application it cools. This ensures a consistent and stable supply of coolant, which is particularly valuable in environments where the primary water sources may be subject to variations in temperature or pressure. By maintaining a steady cooling performance, the XR15 helps to ensure that the equipment or processes it serves operate at optimal efficiency and reliability. This is crucial in maintaining the longevity and performance of the heat-sensitive equipment typically housed in electrical racking systems.
From a design and feature perspective, the XR15 shares the core characteristics of the XR-Series. It is a self-contained system that includes a modulated primary supply, water-to-water heat exchanger, and a coolant storage tank. It includes critical monitoring tools like temperature and pressure gauges, and a coolant safety bypass. Additionally, its compatibility with various fluids including deionised water, glycols, and oils, and its ability to integrate into 19” rack enclosures seamlessly, make the XR15 a versatile and powerful cooling solution for applications that demand high cooling capacities in space-constrained environments.
