Remote Stop/Start Pack – OP00005
The Remote Stop/Start Pack (OP00005) allows operation of a compatible ATC chiller t be enabled from an external control system.
A customer-supplied +24V signal is applied through a dedicated 9-pin D-sub connection to permit the chiller to run. This enables the chiller to be integrated into larger equipment, automated systems, or test installations where operation needs to be controlled externally.
When Should I Consider Remote Stop/Start?
Remote Stop/Start may be useful where:
- The chiller forms part of a larger machine or OEM system
- Chiller automation needs to be linked to other process equipment
- An automated or test system needs to enable or disable the chiller
- The chiller needs to be controlled through an external control system
The Remote Stop/Start Pack is factory fitted and should therefore be specified when ordering the chiller.
Remote Stop/Start is a separate function from the chiller’s RS485 communications.
RS485 provides a communications interface for integration with external systems but RS485 alone does not provide remote stop/start functionality. Where external enabling of the chiller is required, the Remote Stop/Start Pack should be specified.
