MGC

The MGC chiller from Applied Thermal Control is an innovative, space-efficient cooling solution designed with laboratory and in mind. As the successor to the Mini and KTD models, the MGC combines modern technology with an eco-conscious approach, utilising R290 natural refrigerant to ensure compliance with environmental regulations while reducing environmental impact.

With a cooling capacity of 0.5kW, it provides reliable thermal management for critical processes.

Environmentally Friendly and Air Freight Compatible

The MGC utilises R290, a natural refrigerant known for its low environmental impact, supporting businesses in achieving sustainability goals without compromising on performance.

With a refrigerant charge below 100g, the MGC is suitable for air freight, offering a practical solution for global distribution without regulatory challenges. The MGC is not subject to F-Gas regulations, making it an environmentally responsible choice for industries looking to reduce their carbon footprint.

Compact and Versatile Benchtop Design

Designed with efficiency in mind, the MGC’s compact dimensions make it a perfect fit for benchtop systems where space is limited. The unit’s robust steel construction ensures durability, while its multi-voltage and multi-frequency capabilities allow seamless integration into global operations.

The MGC operates across 50Hz and 60Hz frequencies, ensuring compatibility with various power supplies worldwide. An external transformer can also be supplied, making the unit suitable for 115V, 220V, 60Hz, and 230V 50Hz applications.

Precision Temperature Control and Performance

Equipped with a sophisticated PID controller, the MGC provides precise temperature regulation with a stability of ±0.1°C. This ensures consistent performance in critical applications where maintaining exact temperatures is essential.

The integrated PID control system ensures reliable and efficient temperature regulation. The standard temperature range of the MGC extends from +4°C to +35°C, with an optional extended low-temperature range reaching -10°C. Configurable options are available to accommodate specific process requirements.

Durability, Safety, and Compliance

The MGC is designed with a visible fluid level indicator and push-fit connections, ensuring easy installation and straightforward maintenance. Constructed from powder-coated steel, the MGC provides long-lasting durability in demanding industrial environments. Its compact and lightweight design makes it an excellent choice for benchtop applications, offering both portability and space efficiency.

The MGC includes process stop interlocks for fluid reservoir monitoring and visual alarms for temperature fluctuations. It meets CE and UKCA standards and is designed to align with UL certification requirements.
