How quickly can I get a chiller?
ATC recirculating chillers are designed, assembled, and tested at our manufacturing facility in Barrow upon Soar, Leicestershire, UK.
Our current product range is built around standardised chiller platforms, predefined configurations, option packs, and accessory packs. This approach reduces product complexity, allows us to maintain stock of commonly used components, and helps us to provide customers with more consistent and predictable lead times.
What is the standard lead time for an ATC chiller?
Our typical lead time for standard equipment is 4-6 weeks, although shorter lead times may be possible for some products depending on current component availability and the production schedule.
Lead times are confirmed at the point of quotation or order and can vary depending on the model and configuration required.
If you have a specific project deadline, let our Sales team know as early as possible so that we can advise on current availability.
Why does ATC use a standardised product range?
Our standard product range has been developed around proven, repeatable configurations that meet the majority of customer requirements without requiring individual redesign.
Standardisation allows us to:
- Maintain stock of commonly used components
- Reduce procurement complexity
- Improve manufacturing efficiency
- Provide more predictable lead times
- Maintain consistent product quality
- Provide consistent documentation and long-term support
Standard chillers can still be configured around the requirements of the application using the configurations, Option Packs, and Accessory Packs approved for each model.
Do Option Packs or configurations affect lead times?
Our standard configurations and Option Packs have been developed specifically to allow common application requirements to be accommodated while maintaining standard manufacturing processes.
Where the selected configuration or Option Pack is part of the standard offering for that chiller, it can normally be incorporated within our standard production process.
Availability and lead time will still depend on the particular model, configuration, component availability, and production schedule, so the current lead time will be confirmed when you request a quotation.
What about non-standard chillers?
If your requirements fall outside our current standard product offering, ATC may be able to assess the application as a non-standard requirement.
Non-standard solutions require Engineering review before they can be quoted. They may also require specialist components, additional engineering work, or different manufacturing processes.
As a result, non-standard equipment may have a longer lead time than products from our standard range.
Where a non-standard solution is proposed, the expected lead time will be discussed as part of the quotation process.
Are urgent lead times available?
If you have an urgent cooling requirement or a fixed project deadline, please speak to our Sales team.
Depending on the product required, component availability, and our current production schedule, we may be able to identify an appropriate standard solution with a shorter delivery time or prioritise production where possible.
We recommend discussing urgent requirements with us before placing an order rather than assuming that a particular delivery date can be achieved.
Are loan chillers available?
ATC maintains a limited fleet of loan chillers that may be available to support customers with temporary or urgent cooling requirements.
Subject to suitability and availability, a loan unit may be useful for applications such as:
- Temporary cooling following an equipment breakdown
- Interim cooling while equipment is being repaired
- Short-term projects or trials
- Process testing and evaluation
- Temporary cooling while waiting for permanent equipment
Because our loan fleet is limited, availability cannot be guaranteed. Our team will need to understand your cooling requirements before confirming whether a suitable unit is available.
Every chiller is tested before dispatch
Before leaving our UK manufacturing facility, ATC equipment undergoes the appropriate assembly, inspection, and testing processes to confirm that it meets its defined specification.
Once the equipment is ready for dispatch, shipping arrangements can be confirmed for delivery to your site.
