Applied Thermal Control will be attending the upcoming
Hydrogen Tech Expo, scheduled to take place on 30th March, stand
D06, at The International Centre, Telford, UK.
The Hydrogen Tech Expo is an exhibition focused on
showcasing the latest advancements in the hydrogen industry. The event aims to
bring professionals from across the advanced hydrogen technology industry
together to connect with technology and service leaders, discover advanced
concepts, technologies, and partners, and to gain insights into the future of
the hydrogen industry.
Accurate and reliable temperature control is very important
throughout various points of the hydrogen supply chain, from electrolysis to
storage and distribution. Applied Thermal Control work closely with excellent
UK based suppliers, and in coordination with equipment manufacturers, to
design, manufacture, and supply a range of:
- precision recirculating chillers
- industrial chillers
- rack mounted chillers
- airblast coolers
- water-to-water heat exchangers
- flatbed coolers
that are capable of suiting requirements throughout various
stages of the process.
Visitors to the ATC booth (Stand D06) will have the
opportunity to speak with the company’s sales and technical teams to learn
about the latest advancements in thermal management technology. The team will
be on hand to provide insights into the challenges of cooling within the
hydrogen industry and explain how our solutions can help to overcome these
challenges.
“Having worked in the hydrogen
industry for 5 years, primarily designing hydrogen fuel cells, I am a strong
believer that hydrogen has a very significant part to play in the shift to
cleaner energy. I worked on hydrogen fuel cells for many industries including aerospace,
automotive, materials handling equipment (MHE), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
and stationary power – and have seen first-hand the enormous potential of
hydrogen in these industries, but also the technical and political challenges
facing the hydrogen industry, particularly in the UK.
Hydrogen storage is going to be a
key part in the global shift to clean energy, in both cryogenic and
high-pressure forms, as is green hydrogen generation. Ensuring both these
activities are energy efficient, cost effective and safe will be a key factor
in the uptake of hydrogen. Transportation of hydrogen is also a major
consideration for the transport industries, plus widespread filling stations –
whether for public use or return to base applications. Finally, the engines,
fuel cells and turbines using the hydrogen will need to be energy efficient,
cost effective and avoid/limit rare metals and other sparse resources where
possible.
All these challenges are supported
by ATC, as we already provide chillers for hydrogen generation, hydrogen
storage and fuel cell cooling for a number of industries, including
transportation. I seek to use my knowledge of the hydrogen industry and its
challenges to help ATC offer excellent chiller solutions for the industry.”
