Water to Water Heat Exchangers and Air Blast Coolers

Overview

Applied Thermal Control water to water heat exchangers and air blast coolers provide bespoke fluid cooling solutions used in a wide range of OEM and customer applications. Applied Thermal Control heat exchangers offer an effective solution when a facility cooling proves unreliable or unclean. Air blast coolers provide effective and economic cooling where refrigeration is not required.

Applied Thermal Control have a wealth of experience in working closely with their customers in the design and manufacture of cooling systems to match their specific needs.

Applied Thermal Control customers can rely on ATC cooling systems for their outstanding quality and first class reliability, with worldwide support.

Water to Water

Water to Water Heat Exchanger

Self-contained systems offering cooling capacities from 1kW to 300kW.  The LR and LB range of self-contained water to water heat exchange units are self-contained, complete with the heat exchanger, pump, coolant reservoir and necessary controls.  The LR range is suitable for mounting in standard 19” racks or a bench top location, whilst the LB range is free standing.

Suitable for many applications including resistance welding machines, lasers, general process cooling and high frequency generators.

  • A self-contained system with heat exchanger, coolant storage tank and pump
  • Utilise chilled house water
  • Provides process coolant at constant temperature and pressure
  • Easy access panels allow safe trouble free maintenance
  • The LR range is suitable for mounting in standard 19” racks or on a bench top
  • The LB range is free standing
  • Units are supplied with the following as standard:
  • Circuit breakers and on/off switches
  • Coolant pump starting contactors
  • Motor pump protection
  • IP54 protection
  • 24V control circuit where fitted
  • Temperature gauge
  • Pressure gauge
  • Coolant safety by-pass
  • Visual tank level indicator
Air Blast Cooler

Air Blast Cooler

7.5 to 150 kW AB range of air blast coolers provide an ideal solution to maintaining suitable working temperatures in many process applications.  Often used but not exclusively in resistance welding, air compressors, X-Ray devices and furnace equipment.

Units are can be supplied with additional options but Standard features include:

  • Supplied complete with circuit breakers and on/off switches
  • Fan and coolant pump starting contactors
  • Fan and coolant pump motor protection
  • IP54 protection
  • 24 V control circuit where fitted
  • Temperature gauge
  • Pressure gauge
  • Coolant safety by-pass
  • Visual tank level indicator

Rack Mounted

Rack Mounted Chillers

19” rack mounted chillers are designed to fit into standard electrical rack housings with a minimum depth of 600mm, providing compact process cooling solutions.

Suitable for many applications including cooling of electronic components, laser equipment and applications where space is at a premium.

Units are available with additional options but supplied as standard with:

  • Over temperature signal
  • Low liquid level signal
  • Industry standard 6 pin signal plug
  • Low noise operation
  • Non-ferrous coolant circuit
  • Pressure relief valve
  • Convenient liquid fill point
