For more details, please select a product from the list below.

Remote Alarm Box
The compact remote alarm supplied by Applied Thermal Control is sited close to the application, allowing personnel to monitor the chiller, without needing to see the chiller. The display indicates normal operation, or shows alarms for temperature and fluid (both flow and level). An audible siren also sounds in an alarm condition. The alarm box can be mounted up to 15 metres away from the chiller, and is fitted with an emergency stop switch that will turn off the chiller should it be necessary.
Low Temperature Pack
This low temperature option can be fitted to allow a chiller to be operated below +4°C and to be controlled down to -15°C.
Heater Pack
The normal upper limit of the process temperature is 35°C. It is possible to raise this up to 65°C by means of a heater pack (higher temperatures can be achieved, following discussion with an ATC salesperson). Heater packs are typically installed into chiller systems where it is necessary to maintain a specific temperature range, and the cooling capacity of the chiller alone is not sufficient to achieve the desired range.
Water-Cooled Condensers
Water-cooled condensers are commonly used in chillers to remove heat from the refrigerant and transfer it into a primary cooling circuit. In a recirculating chiller system, the refrigerant absorbs heat from the process or space, and transfers it to the water-cooled condenser.
Non Return / Solenoid Valve

The non-return/solenoid option can be fitted to prevent back siphoning of fluid into the chiller during maintenance.

They are recommended when the chiller and application are at different levels (more than 2 metres height difference), or where a long length of flexible tubing is used between the chiller and the application. It is also advisable to add non-return/solenoid valves in situations where pipe-runs will be going up into ceiling ducts.

Low Flow Alarm
Low flow alarms are a type of warning system that is designed to alert operators or maintenance personnel when the flow of heat transfer fluid through process cooling equipment falls below a certain level. The purpose of these alarms is to help to prevent damage to the equipment and other connected applications by ensuring that adequate heat transfer fluid flow is maintained.
Quick Release Connectors
All ATC chillers can be fitted with self-sealing quick release fluid connectors allowing a quick and easy chiller exchange.
Installation Kit
Reinforced black 1/2" tubing and fittings to connect the chiller to an application.
Air Filter MA 145/119

Air filters work by removing contaminants and impurities from the air that circulates through the cooling system. This helps to protect the equipment from damage, maintain its efficiency, and ensure the quality of the cooled process.

Castors – KT
Castors enhance mobility for large process cooling equipment, aiding in repositioning, maintenance, and space optimization. While most units include castors as standard, they're optional for the KT, W, and larger XF series models. Their inclusion reduces risks, eases movement, and improves facility layout flexibility.
RS 485 Comms
RS485 is a serial communication protocol that is commonly used in industrial applications. It is designed to allow multiple devices to communicate with each other over a single communication line, using differential signalling to improve noise immunity and reliability. RS-485 allows you to connect your cooler, through the controller to your application allowing you to change set point and monitor alarms.
In-line Deioniser
The optional in-line deioniser provides very high levels of purity in recirculating water.
High Temperature Water Circuit without Heater
If the system operates at temperatures above 65°C, it may be necessary to consider using a high temperature water circuit.
Standard Volt Free Connection (VFC) Set
Optional VFC set allows for monitoring of alarms through analogue signal.
Stainless Steel Pump and Fittings
Stainless steel parts are standard on all Applied Thermal Control machinery due to the corrosion-resistant properties, durability, and ability to withstand high temperatures and pressures held by stainless steel.
Mod for Outdoor Use
Addition of this option makes your chiller IP54 compliant when housing outdoors.
Particulate Filter
Particulate filters are designed to remove solid particles from heat transfer fluids. They efficiently capture particles larger than the filter's pores, preventing debris accumulation that can harm equipment and reduce system efficiency. These filters can be strategically positioned throughout the system and require regular maintenance to ensure peak performance. Applied Thermal Control offer a versatile 10"10-micron filter in a plastic housing, with multiple mounting options, allowing customers to tailor filtration solutions to their specific needs.
Flow Meter Pack
A flow meter pack is a component used in process cooling equipment to measure the flow rate of heat transfer fluids. It consists of a flow sensor, which is installed in the piping of the system, and a control unit that receives signals from the sensor and calculates the flow rate.
Fan Speed Control (on/off)
On/off fan speed control uses a thermostat to toggle a fan's operation based on a set temperature. As the temperature exceeds the set point, the fan runs at full speed until it drops below that threshold, at which point it stops. This method offers various benefits, including simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and energy savings. It's ideal for environments with low thermal mass or non-critical temperature control, and it's particularly advantageous in places with significant temperature variations, like Toronto, to prevent overcooling.
Fan Speed Control (proportional)

Proportional fan speed control is a technique in process cooling equipment that adjusts fan speeds based on cooling needs. It monitors the heat transfer fluid's temperature and varies fan speed to maintain a set temperature. As the temperature deviates from the setpoint, the fan speed changes accordingly.

This method not only ensures optimal temperature maintenance but also promotes energy efficiency by adjusting to the precise cooling demands. The system adjusts the fan speed by varying the electrical signal's frequency or voltage to the fan motor.

Flow Meter Pack Output to RS485
Addition of the flow meter pack output allows the flow rate to be communicated via RS485.
Seismic Mounts
Seismic mounts are often used with process cooling equipment to protect the equipment from damage during earthquakes or other seismic activity. Process cooling equipment can be very large and heavy and contains sensitive components that can be damaged if they are shaken too vigorously.
In-line UV Decontamination
Use of an in-line UV decontamination pack will prevent any growth within the system by passing fluid through steel tubes containing a UV lamp.
Qwikfoot Kit
A QwikFoot kit is a specialised mounting system tailored for outdoor installations of industrial equipment. Whether it’s for placing units on a concrete pad, steel frame, or even rooftops, this kit streamlines the process. Comprising of adjusting mountable feet and the necessary hardware, it offers a hassle-free solution to affix equipment securely to its outdoor location.
Stainless Enclosure
This robust stainless steel enclosure will protect your chiller from the elements, and will withstand more aggressive cleaning materials.
De-Branding of Standard Model
Applied Thermal Control branding can be removed at your request.
High Ambient Fans
High ambient fans are a type of fan specifically designed to operate in environments with high temperatures. These fans are typically used in applications where the cooling equipment is required to operate in outdoor environments or in areas where the ambient temperature is higher than normal.
Internal Manifolds
Internal manifolds allow you to specify the amount of inlets and outlets on the back of the chiller.
Frost Protection
Sometimes it is not possible to use glycol as a heat transfer fluid to provide protection from frost for outdoor units. In such cases, addition of frost protection can protect the unit.
External Manifolds
External manifolds allow you to specify the amount of inlets and outlets on the back of the chiller.
Remote Stop-Start
A remote start-stop addition allows your chiller to be turned off from the application.
Auto Refill
This addition allows your chiller to be refilled from mains water or a storage tank.
