Uniting for a Cause: ATC joins EuroProjects Charity Football Tournament

Posted: 29 August 2023

At Applied Thermal Control, we’ve always believed in the power of teamwork, not only in factory, but also on the playing field. We’re thrilled to announce our participation in the upcoming mini football tournament organised by EuroProjects, all in the name of a noble cause. The tournament is set to be an afternoon filled with camaraderie, competition, and most importantly, the opportunity to make a difference. On Friday, 1st September, from 14:00 to 17:00, we’ll be putting on our football shirts, lacing up our boots, and stepping on to the field at Ashby Leisure Centre to support Loros Hospice.

About Loros Hospice

Loros Hospice is an incredible charity dedicated to providing exceptional end-of-life care to individuals and their families. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life for those with terminal illnesses, ensuring that their final moments are comfortable, dignified, and surrounded by compassionate care. The work Loros does is not just about medical care; it’s about creating an environment where patients can find peace, families can find solace, and everyone involved can find support.

Kicking for a Cause

Sports have a unique way of bringing people together, transcending boundaries, and fostering a sense of community. This mini football tournament is a perfect opportunity to channel our enthusiasm for the game into something greater. As we gear up to compete, we also remember the real reason behind this event: raising funds and awareness for Loros Hospice. Every kick, every goal, and every cheer will resonate beyond the field, making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Event Details

Our team have marked their calendars for Friday, 1st September, as we prepare to take to the field at Ashby Leisure Centre. The tournament will feature 6-a-side matches, promising a fast-paced, thrilling competition that will keep everyone on their toes.

Uniting as a Team

Just as we collaborate seamlessly in our work to achieve excellence, this tournament is a chance to showcase our teamwork and sportsmanship in a different arena. With the potential for 2 substitutes, our squad is poised to give it all, supporting each other and exemplifying the values that make Applied Thermal Control a tight-knit community.

Calling Our Supporters

While the players take centre stage, the support from our colleagues and friends is just as vital! Whether cheering from the sidelines, or simply spreading the word – involvement helps to amplify the impact we’re aiming for. Every bit of encouragement and support contributes to the success of our endeavour to raise funds for Loros Hospice.

If you’re unable to join us on the field, but would still like to make a difference, you can contribute to the cause by making a donation through the JustGiving page for the event. Your support will not only motivate the teams on the pitch, but will also directly contribute to the care and comfort provided by Loros Hospice.

Visit the JustGiving page here to make your donation and show your solidarity with the cause.

The Applied Thermal Control team is excited and ready to lace up for a good cause at the EuroProjects Mini Football Tournament. As we prepare to showcase our skills and determination on the field, we also look forward to uniting with fellow participants, supporters, and the community to make a difference in the lives of those supported by Loros Hospice. Remember, it’s not just a tournament; it’s a demonstration of our commitment to giving back and leaving a positive impact on the world around us. So, let’s gather, play, and champion the spirit of teamwork while supporting an incredible cause. See you on the field!
