Mini-Loop Heat Exchanger for Process Cooling water - Jan 2010
Many Institutions and Companies have process cooling water built into their facility. The cooling water is used to maintain the temperature of many manufacturing processes such as thin film deposition. Unfortunately, this “house water” often contains additives for algae or corrosion inhibition and it then becomes electrically conducting. This causes severe problems when cooling parts held at high Voltage.
Applied Thermal Control has now introduced a new cost effective solution to this problem. The K13 Mini-Loop Heat exchanger uses the house water to cool one side of the heat exchanger while the second side with de-ionised water (or a coolant of choice) is used to cool the application. The application loop is temperature controlled to better than +/- 10C . The unit is whisper quiet and designed to be compact. Although the unit provides 12kW of cooling power, the footprint is only 540mm x 550mm. The K12 is provided with a choice of pumps to meet all flow rate requirements
