Applied Thermal Control Ltd (ATC) is pleased to announce that it is now part of the Scientific Digital Imaging (SDI) Group.
SDI is focused on the design and manufacture of scientific and technology products for use by the life science, healthcare,
astronomy, consumer manufacturing and art conservation markets. SDI plans to
grow through its own technology advancements as well as strategic,
complementary acquisitions. ATC provides
synergy within the existing group of companies and complements the growth
strategy.
Ken Ford, Chairman of Scientific Digital Imaging said “ATC represents another exciting step
in our Group growth strategy. ATC is a complementary fit to the Group and
provides potential areas for growth alongside a talented workforce. The
acquisition is in line with our previously announced acquisition strategy and
is expected to be earnings enhancing in its first full year of ownership.”
ATC is based in Whitwick, Leicestershire. Founded in 1995, it has grown to employ 15
members of staff and works alongside partners in carefully selected
international distributors and service agents.
ATC specialises in designing and manufacturing precision recirculation
chillers and heat exchangers for use within the scientific instrument and
process control markets, working in conjunction with OEM’s and end users in the
UK and around the world.
This acquisition presents an opportunity for
ATC to strengthen its worldwide coverage and accelerate the development of
exciting new products. Collaboration
with organisations within the SDI Group will provide skills and experience from
other companies to extend our market presence and our service to customers.
